Hamster Zoetrope (2022)
This is an optical device that allows the audience to physically engage with the animation. The running sequence of the hamster was created in Autodesk Maya and printed in 3D frame by frame. They were spaced out evenly and attached to a 9" hamster wheel. The animation occurs when the spinning hamsters are synced with a strobe, or filmed on a camera with a high shutter speed.
